It’s a viral photo on social media. It shows a masked individual carrying a sign with the following message: “I have the racially profiled Montreal police macabo.”
According to the sign, the scene takes place in Montreal, Canada. But, the controversy arose out of what some believe to be a photomontage, as the phrase “I have the macabo” on the sign is Cameroonianism that would be unintelligible in Canada. Indeed, in the Cameroonian context, “I have the macabo” means to have rage, to be angry or angry. In short, this expression expresses discontent or anger.
